Welcome to my Fifty Two week project. Me and nineteen other photographers have embarked on a weekly project interpreting a different theme each week. Pink is one of those colors that is soft, loving, caring and immediately makes me feel happy. Pink is a mix of red and white. In photography language and all art, red is one of those rich, traditional, vibrant and strong colors that is used to draw the eye in, it denotes danger in life, promotes courage, the color red is aggressive, and often it is a sign of passionate love.
White is neutral and soft and void of all color. When white is added to red to make pink; the most perfect soothing, calming effect ensues for me. This is an image of my daughter at the beach in Mexico this past spring break. I love the soothing sweetness pink color of her suit, the pink of her skin and soothing warm, happy effect of her surroundings. She is happy, loving the beach and carefree.
