52 Week Challange | Sara Tegman Photography | St. Louis, Missouri//01.07.10

Some friends of mine are challenging me to an “image-off”. Every week for the next 52 weeks, there will be a post on my blog that is something fun, free and creative. We are all home from school and work today. It is 3 degrees right now, mid-day and the temperature is supposed to drop to a wind-chill of -17 below zero. While I would LOVE to take some pictures of the amazing snow and flakes, being a gal who hales from the deep woods of Wisconsin, BUT, -17 is just too damn cold. I am trying to occupy two little girls with some fun indoor activity and crayons are abundant and omnipresent in this house. Crayons ROCK! I have seen this captured one other time by a photographer, I was mesmerized by it.

  1. I feel for you. It’s not 17 below here, but it’s pretty dam cold and I’m trapped inside with a 5, 3 and 3 mos old. Love shots like this. You nailed it.

  2. Cool shot!! Good luck with the 52 weeks!

  3. Holy cow, FABULOUS DoF. Love it. :-) I do not envy you with those temps, I feel trapped here, and it’s 30s out. (We still go out, but no walks/playing. Always shopping, lol.)

  4. Love the dof!

  5. Love the crayons! I also hear you on the coldness! Way up here in Canada it is -47 celcius with the windchill but my kids still had to go to school!

  6. Love this shot!! The cold is awful. My hands froze after 2 minutes outside trying to get my shot today. Blech! Bring on spring!

  7. Really nice dof :)

  8. Beautiful DOF and colors here!

  9. Nice!

  10. Wow, love this!
