Yes, there is a song written by John Rox and sung by Gayla Peevey in 1953 called “I Want A Hippopotamus For Christmas”. My dear friends turned me onto the song a couple of years ago, but this holiday photo shoot was all about this song. We watched the You Tube video, there are several renditions, but the original is still the best
It makes my girls giggle! A very happy holidays to all!

It was a chilly afternoon just before Thanksgiving. We had family in town. This Thanksgiving has been one of the best holidays on record. The biggest, baddest turkey wrapped-in-cheesecloth-soaked-in-butter-wine-and-bathed-in-stuffing. Oh and I tried deep fried turkey for the first time, thanks uncle Chuckles! I am very close with my family. I am so lucky. Without further adieu, I introduce, my nephew. I adore him.

I know the song well.
……..there’s lots of room for him, in our two car garage, I’ll feed him there and wash him there and give him a massage………..
ahhh, the memories.
Beautiful shots.
